Turbocharger parts for cars.
Turbocharger parts for cars.
A turbocharger is actually an air compressor that compresses air to increase the air intake. It uses the inertial impulse of the exhaust gas from the engine to push the turbine inside the turbine, which in turn drives the coaxial impeller, which compresses the air sent by the air filter pipe, making it pressurised into the cylinder. When the engine speed increases, the exhaust gas discharge speed and turbine speed also increases simultaneously, the impeller compresses more air into the cylinder, the air pressure and density increases can burn more fuel, correspondingly increase the amount of fuel and adjust the engine speed, you can increase the engine output power.
The turbine consists of two parts, one is the fresh air booster end, the other part is the exhaust gas drive end, each end has an impeller, on the same shaft, the shaft support for the sleeve. The impellers of the turbocharger are powered by the exhaust gas for rotation. The turbocharger housing is made of a nickel, chromium and silicon alloy and the shaft is made of a chromium and molybdenum alloy. More importantly, the turbocharger works under high temperature and high speed conditions. To ensure its normal operation, oil and coolant are passed through the turbocharger to ensure effective lubrication and cooling and to improve working conditions. The exhaust gas from the engine with high temperature and pressure enters the turbocharger and pushes the impeller of the shaft to rotate at a high speed of tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of revolutions per minute, at idle, the impeller speed is 12,000 rpm, when fully loaded, the impeller speed can reach 135,000 rpm, ordinary bearings are unable to withstand the high temperature and wear caused by such high speed.
